At Readers 2 Leaders, we believe literacy is a human right that unlocks learning and opportunity, paving the way for academic and life success. Our goal is to equip our entire community with the power of reading. Only when we work together will we achieve our goal of all students thriving today as readers and tomorrow as leaders.
OUR IMPACT
Readers 2 Leaders is spreading the science of reading across North Texas, equipping children and their communities with the skills to unlock a world of opportunities through literacy. In 2023-2024, we reached 3,172 children and 654 adults at 17 program sites.
The Power of Reading for ALL
The Challenge: Students who struggle with reading in the early years often face difficulties later in all other subjects, which rely heavily on reading comprehension. Early intervention can change that trajectory, but educators and caregivers need more resources to help students succeed as readers.
The Solution: Readers 2 Leaders addresses the literacy gap by providing tailored, evidence-based instructional approaches that help students make significant academic progress when supported by trained instructors and targeted curricula. Readers 2 Leaders provides reading instruction through tutoring for children and adults and provides professional development for educators. By targeting the specific needs of both students and educators, Readers 2 Leaders aims to enhance literacy outcomes across diverse populations.
